English Language Advisory Committee and Dates

Each school within the RBUSD has an English Language Advisory Committee, or ELAC.  This committee is comprised primarily of parents and school staff.  The ELAC has four main goals:
  • Advise the School Site Council (SSC) on the development of the Single School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
  • Advise the principal and staff on the school’s program for English learners.
  • Assist the school in the development of the school’s needs assessment.
  • Assist the school in ways to make parents aware of the importance in school attendance.

We hold several meetings throughout the school year to discuss current needs, answer questions, and look for suggestions on how to make the English Language Learner program better each year.  This year's meetings will take place in November, February, and May.  This is also a great way to connect with other parents within the Lincoln community so please attend if you are available.
