Hours, Drop-Off, & Pick-Up Procedures

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures: 
GRADES 1-5 Morning Drop Off students in Grades 1-5 may be dropped off at school as early as 7:40 am at the main entrance to the school on Plant Ave. There is a valet system in place. The campus is closed to parents and non-students in the morning. All volunteers are required to check-in at the office. Both the Lower/Primary and Upper Playgrounds are supervised by school staff from 7:40 am until 8:10 am when school officially starts. There is a morning bell at 8:08 am to let students know they are to report to their classroom assembly spot on each playground.

We encourage parents to walk children to school or ride bikes with helmets. If you are driving to drop off your child, there is no parking in the yellow or valet zones. These zones are for unloading only. Parents may not leave their vehicle unattended. This helps the traffic flow and we count on everyone to make this system work effectively.

GRADE 1-5
Afternoon Pick Up students in grades 1-5 are dismissed daily at 2:40 pm. On Wednesday dismissal is at 1:35 pm. The campus is closed to parents and non-students in the afternoon. 
  • 2nd grade and the SDC program will use the back gate.
  • 1st and 3rd grade will use the front of the school.
  • 4th and 5th grade will be released from their classroom.
  • If you have children in multiple grades please email their teachers and the teachers of the older children will release them to meet at the dismissal location of your youngest child.
  • If you are driving to pick up your child, you will remain in your vehicle and utilize the valet lanes for pick up. There is no parking in the yellow zones. The yellow curb is for loading only and school bus parking. Parents may not leave their vehicle unattended.  
 
Kindergarten
  • AM Kindergarten begins at 8:10 am but families may come to the Kindergarten Gate on Plant Ave. adjacent to the Kindergarten Playground as early as 8:00 am. Dismissal is at 11:30 am every day.
  • All non-CDC drop-off and pick-up takes place at the Kindergarten Gate on Plant Ave. adjacent to the Kindergarten Playground.
  • CDC Kindergarten drop-off and pick-up takes place inside school grounds with CDC and school staff.
