Dear Lincoln Families:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year! 


We hope this summer brought you the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends. We are excited about the opportunity to open the new year at this amazing school. 


Our incredible custodians, Mr. Carlos and Mr. Armando, worked all summer to ensure that the campus is ready for students and staff when they return. A big thanks to our CDC team who provided engaging activities all summer for our Lions. Our committed PTA leaders have been on campus and are diligently preparing to provide value-added opportunities for families and staff.


Our front office team including Janet Alatorre (Administrative Assistant), Michelle Graves (Attendance Clerk), and Gina Frodge (Health Clerk) will continue to prepare to welcome all of you soon with their kind and helpful approach!!


This year, we welcome new staff members who are excited to join our team:

  • Ms. Danielle Ramirez (Teacher), 5th Grade, Room 19

  • Ms. Alex Reagan (Teacher), 3rd Grade, Room 16

  • Ms. Brenda Garcia, Special Education Instruction Aide, Rm. 14


We are adding two Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classes to our campus this year. Their classroom will be on the CDC side of campus. We also welcome our brand new kindergarten families in addition to newly enrolled families in other grade levels.  We are so excited to have you.

Please note the following:


  • TK: The first day of school on August 21 is a regular school day:

    • AM TK: Arrival at 8:00 am; Dismissal at 11:20 am

    • PM TK: Arrival at 11:20 am; Dismissal at 2:40 pm

  • Kindergarten: August 21 to September 6 will follow the Early Release schedule (dismissal at 1:15 pm) until their first full day on Monday, September 9 when the dismissal time will be 1:45 pm.


PTA SPONSORED BACK TO SCHOOL RALLY

 

Our PTA has organized a Back to School Rally which will be held on Monday, August 19 for grades TK-5.  TK/K will meet from 3pm-4pm in the kinder playground. Grade 1-5 will meet from 4pm-6pm on the lower playground.  This is an opportunity for you to spend time on campus and meet other families. This is also the time when you will have access to the class rosters which will be posted by PTA before the event. You can enter campus through the back of the school.


We encourage all families to join our PTA. They provide so many value-added opportunities for our students and staff. Thank you to Sharmila Garg who will serve as our president this year.


 Additional Reminders

  • Campus will open daily at 7:45am 

  • The cafeteria will be open at 7:45am for free breakfast for students. 


Closed Campus


For safety reasons, Lincoln is a closed campus. Parents will drop students off in the front of the school and students will enter campus through the main office doors. All parents and visitors must register at the front office prior to entering campus. 


Absence Reporting


All absences should be reported to the office by phone at (310) 798-8646, by emailing Michele Graves at [email protected], or by completing the online form here.
