FAMILY ICE SKATING DAY
No School, No Problem!
Let’s Skate at Toyota Sports Performance Center, home of the LA Kings on November 1, 2024 from 1pm - 2pm. Admission and Skate Rentals included! Space is limited to the first 100 skaters, if you do not plan on going on the ice you do not have to sign up.

Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk
Register to walk with TEAM LINCOLN and RBEF for the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk supporting kids with special needs AND our public schools.
Last year, Team LINCOLN had 455 walkers and received an incredible check from RBEF for $18,200. This year, let’s form our largest team ever!
Sign up your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and even your PETS. This is also a great opportunity for family members and grandparents near and far to support Lincoln Elementary School. The more walkers we get, the more money our school receives!

PTA REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM - CALL FOR ENTRIES!
REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST – Zen Den and Prizes!
Lincoln Lions – only two weeks to go until the submission deadline for the 2024 PTA Reflections Art Contest! The PTA Reflections Art Contest is a national art contest in which all students TK-12 are invited to submit their creative work. All Lincoln Lions are encouraged to explore and express this year's theme of "Accepting Imperfection." Entries can be in one of six categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.
This year, we will also be hosting space in the Zen Den for students to work on their entries. If your child would like to participate and work on their project at school, please remind them to visit the Zen Den during lunch. At the Zen Den, they can:
- Use the supplies provided to create their artwork
- Choreograph and practice a dance routine, solo or with friends!
- Work on a storyboard or script for a film
- Write a song and compose music
- Write a short story or poem
Every entry will automatically be included in an opportunity drawing for super fun prizes in each category!

LINCOLN GOLF TOUNAMENT
Welcome to the 1st Annual Lincoln Elementary PTA Golf Tournament, a family-friendly event set against the picturesque backdrop of Westdrift Golf Course. Golfers of all abilities from the Lincoln community of families, students, alumni, teachers, and staff are invited to come together for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and love for the game!
This 9-hole tournament will be a 4-person team scramble format (we can pair you up with your friends or others to make a team of 4 if you register as a single or twosome). Each team must use a shot from a kid on each hole, otherwise there will be a 1 stroke penalty for that hole.
Trophies will be handed out for best team score, as well as for the closest to the pin competition on three of the holes. Plus, each golfer will receive an exclusive Lincoln Elementary Golf Tournament hat that will make you the envy of the entire neighborhood!
Tickets will be available to purchase which gives you a chance to win one of the 15+ prizes valued at a total of $1,500+! Mulligans will also be available to purchase before you start your round.

RUN CLUB
Run Club kicks off Wednesday, September 25th! The PTA is thrilled to offer this program to Lincoln students in grades 1-5. Run Club will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:55 am to 8:13 am on the primary playground. Volunteers will encourage students and track their laps. Students earn fun awards based on their laps completed. Feeling great, special incentives, and making friends along the way are just a few of the great aspects of joining the Lincoln Run Club!
To participate, please register by Wednesday, September 4th so that we can provide your student with a Run Club badge for the first day of run club.

WATCH D.O.G.S / P.O.G.S. Orientation
Our Watch Dogs and Pogs (Parents of Great Students) volunteer on campus during the school year. This year we will focus on providing additional adult supervision during our grades lunch time (11:20am-1:05pm) each day. You will have the opportunity to sign up for one day during the school year if you have one child at Lincoln, two days if you have two children at Lincoln, etc. If there are additional time slots available, we will reopen the sign ups to all parents again. Our plan is to have four to five adults assist with supervision on a daily basis. Supervision will begin the week of September 9.
Please join us this Thursday, August 22, at 5pm in the cafeteria. Pizza and beverages will be provided. It is required that you attend the orientation in order to participate in this volunteer program. The orientation will conclude by 6pm.
