Welcome to Room 15
Hi, my name is Shannon Dominelli. This is my 12th year teaching 2nd grade at Lincoln Elementary and 19th year teaching. Before coming to Lincoln, I taught Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, and Reading Intervention in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach.
I graduated with a Major in Liberal Studies and a Minor in Sociology from CSULB. I also received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with CLAD authorization at CSULB and GATE certification through UCI. Throughout my teaching career I have attended various training and classes on Autism, ADHD, CGI Math, Daily 5, Mind Up, Differentiated Instruction, GLAD, Thinking Maps, Reader’s Workshop, GATE, and I even attended the Google Summit twice!
I live in Huntington Beach with my husband, Ian (a high school teacher), my two boys Aiden (16) and Curren (13), and my two dogs, Leia and Brando. In my free time, I enjoy attending LA Chargers' football games and volunteering for Labradors and Friends Dog Rescue.
As a child, I LOVED school because of the amazing teachers I had. I hope that ALL my students will LOVE school as much as I did. Teaching isn’t just my job, it’s my PASSION!
