Welcome to Room 23!
Hello, my name is Michelle O'Malley and I teach 5th grade. This is my 21st year teaching and my twelfth year in 5th grade! My teaching career also includes six years in 6th grade at Lincoln, one year in 4th grade in Mesa, Arizona, and two years in 3rd grade at Lincoln. I received my teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University and my masters degree from Chapman University.
My goal is to provide opportunities for all students to be successful and to enjoy learning. Students love both variety in learning and taking on new challenges. They learn at different paces. And they all have preferences about how they like to learn and how they like to show what they have learned. I will be doing my professional best this year to attend to differences among students, trying to ensure that each student is a successful, confident learner.
