Welcome to Room KB PM Kindergarten!

 

My name is Dana Price.  I am a graduate of UCLA and hold a California Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Education, as well as a California Reading Certificate. I’ve been teaching for 23 years and this is my fifth year at Lincoln Elementary School.  I previously taught Kindergarten, and was a Reading Intervention Teacher in Anaheim City School District.  Before that I taught at an International School in Costa Rica.

 

I am a resident of Redondo Beach and have two children (ages 8 & 12) who keep me busy with many activities after school and on weekends.   I love living in the community that I teach in, and especially love teaching kindergarten!

Kinder Update

Dear Kindergarten families,

I am hoping you have had time to read and digest the information sent to you by the superintendent Friday and Dr. J yesterday regarding the closing of our schools.  While this is obviously not an ideal situation, I am optimistic that taking these proactive steps will lessen the impact this virus has on our community.

Teachers and staff are reporting to school on Monday morning. We will be planning an alternative instruction plan which will go into effect on Wednesday morning. There is no need for you to come in on Monday to pick up any materials as everything will be available online, similar to our homework. Kindergarten students do NOT have chrome books or iPads to pick up. I will be updating you throughout this whole process. I am here if you have any questions.

I hope you can take this time to reset from your busy lives and enjoy your loved ones. Please give your kiddos a hug from me and tell them I will see them soon!
