Welcome to Room 1!

      Dear Parents and Guardians,

       Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Lincoln Elementary School!  My name is Ayn McGuire and I have the pleasure of teaching your child this school year. 

        Before joining the Lincoln team Seven years ago I taught fifth grade for two years in my home town of Torrance. I am very excited to be teaching your children this year, and I am anticipating a wonderful year! 

During the first few weeks of school, we will be getting to know each other, and we will create an environment that is a safe and friendly place for learning.  I will work with your child on continuing his/her growth in becoming an independent and responsible individual.  My goal as a teacher is to ensure that my students are not only challenged throughout their learning process, but are also successful in every step of the way.  It will be a wonderful experience to work as a team with you and your child as we all achieve our goals for this school year!
